For the Love of Learning

Do you LOVE to learn about massage therapy?  I do!  We are in luck as there are some AMAZING resources out there to help support our thirst for more!  Whether you want to satisfy your curiosity or you need CE hours for your state license, it is important to find opportunities that offer you quality! It can be hard to pick which resources or CE classes best suit your needs.  You want resources that will help you expand and grow your practice!

BIOTONE has a long history of supporting massage therapist’s need to learn and grow.  Look no further than the BIOTONE website to find articles offering tips and tricks to expand and refine your practice on BIOTONE’s in touch Blog.  Then click over to the Video Library, where you will find various hands on tutorials for both SPA and therapeutic techniques.  One of my favorite sections is the SPA Menu Ideas page, where you will find recipes for fabulous treatments your clients will love!

BIOTONE also offers a quarterly open house in San Diego, CA!  This event is always a blast!  Therapists network with each other, have a few snacks, learn new treatments, and receive product discounts. Plus, the event is totally FREE to attend!  Those who need CE hours have the option to purchase them for the 3-hour class.  The Open Houses always take place on a Monday, with the next one happening June 12, 2017!  Why not plan a mini-vacation to San Diego and swing by to see us?  You can sign up for BIOTONE’s open house on the BIOTONE website.

Over the years, BIOTONE has offered CE classes at conventions, SPAs, and Schools around the country to bring SPA and therapeutic massage techniques to massage therapists where they live.  Our next SOLD OUT BIOTONE sponsored class will be this weekend, April 22nd and 23rd, in Southfield, MI.  I am so excited to teach this 16-hour class each April and October at my Alma Mater, Irene’s Myomassology Institute!  Students learn a variety of SPA techniques, including one of my favorites Berry Beautiful Feet!

Then just a few weeks later, I’ll be at the American Massage Conference in Virginia Beach teaching introductions to some of my signature courses! I always love to teach Dynamic Wraps as it offers a very gentle and effective technique to help clients who can’t seem to relax!  The technique strips away tension and can drastically improve session effectiveness!  I often use the Dynamic Wraps technique to prep clients for Trigger Point Therapy or my 15 Minute Neck and Shoulder Blast!  I am also looking forward to teaching at the AMC from the May 19th to the 21st Conference!  In between classes, you will find me following my own advice as I look forward to learning from fellow educators at the conference

These are just a few of the opportunities that BIOTONE offers massage therapists; many other reliable resources are available to therapists who need hours or want to self-study.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • What techniques would I like to incorporate into my practice?
  • Do I need CE hours?
  • Do I want to learn locally, online, or travel?
  • What is my budget for Continuing Education?
