I am always searching for ways to make clients feel that the time they spend with me is an important part of their lives. As budgets tighten and competition increases, every moment we spend with clients must be well planned and orchestrated. One of my most successful strategies has been to offer my added value services to all salon guests. Now, these inexpensive mini-spa treatments are featured in Spaaaaah moments.
By taking the spa out of the treatment room and into the rest of the salon, I am increasing my income and exposure to potential clients. By brainstorming with the other salon professionals, I came up with ways that we could work together. For example, clients have the option of combining my foot treatment with their pedicures or my aromatherapy scalp massage with their hair services.
We even offer a special hot oil hand treatment, based on my aromatherapy wrap recipes, available with every chemical service. The customization possible with these spa treatments ensures every client's experience is relevant to them, adding value for the time and money they invest with us.
Our collaboration has been so successful that we have expanded it to offer specialty spa nights - happy hours, BFF parties, and wellness nights. These co-op events are another great way to stay busy and network with targeted markets and other wellness providers.
I will be demonstrating these strategies at the IECSC New York and Las Vegas Shows. I promise it will be time well spent!
