Orange Essential Oil

A study conducted on 100 women during labor found orange essential oil helped the women overcome anxiety. The women in the study were randomly assigned to either an intervention or a control group.  The control group women were exposed to distilled water; the ones in the intervention group were exposed to orange essential oil. While the anxiety level in women in both groups declined, the reduction of anxiety was greater in the group exposed to the orange essential oil.

Orange essential oil blends work well with a wide range of other essential oils, including lavender, patchouli, peppermint, lime, clary sage, lemon, geranium, mandarin, rosemary, tangerine, and grapefruit.
