Help clients keep holiday-induced stress under control

Holiday stress, unlike stress someone may feel at other times of the year because of personal or professional pressures, is predictable. Even though knowing holiday stress will end, it doesn’t make it any easier dealing with it. With that in mind, expect clients to be feeling more pressure at this time of the year and be prepared to help.

Holiday themed deals

Make an extra effort to let clients know you care with holiday-themed deals. Special promotions tied to the time of year will help clients treat themselves to a relaxing massage or skin treatment. Gift card sales can help clients struggling to find the “perfect gift” for someone who’s hard to shop for.

Gift card sales should offer a range of options with different price points sales. You can offer massage gift cards for an hour, 45 minutes, etc. at price points that match to the time. Any type of gift card can include a massage and a wrap or exfoliation.  Offering gift cards for retail items helps attract prospects into your spa or massage practice.

Consumers like choice. To make cards even more appealing, offer different designs. Whatever designs you choose, build them around your brand’s color and graphics to reinforce your identity.

Offer CBD massage to reduce anxiety

Clients who seek massage to help lower anxiety can benefit from the CBD-infused massage treatments. Many Americans already are turning to CBD to help lower anxiety. A survey on the use of CBD found that among those that use CBD, about 55 percent of those who have tried it say they used it to relax, and another 50 percent said they were looking for stress and anxiety relief.[1]

As an example of the effects of CBD on anxiety, a 2011 study found that the cannabidiol was able to reduce Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) among participants in a simulated public speaking test (SPST). Pretreatment with CBD significantly reduced anxiety, cognitive impairment, and discomfort in the speech performance of control patients, and significantly decreased alert levels in their anticipatory speech. anxiety, cognitive impairment, discomfort, and alert levels when compared with the control group.[2]
