The Spurgeon Method® was originally created by Sally Spurgeon and Jennifer Shulte-Denman to help women following mastectomy surgeries, The Spurgeon Method® became popular after The Chopra Center began offering it at their world-renowned location in Carlsbad, CA. It has proven invaluable not only in helping recovery from breast cancer surgeries but also in promoting and maintaining healthy breast tissue and helping women to become aware of changes in their breasts as they age. It is beneficial for a wide range of breast concerns, including lactation issues.
A pilot study of The Spurgeon Method® conducted in May 2022 on Post-Mastectomy patients by Cindy Veasey, an Occupational Therapist from A T Still University, AZ Dept. of Health Sciences, found statistically significant improvement on all subjects who received the treatment.
The findings were presented at the AOTA conference in April of 2023.
