What are you doing to get into the spirit of the 4th of July?

The community spirit is never stronger than on the 4th of July. My neighborhood has a number of events planned and I will try to participate in some of them, and where possible, take my dogs along. They are pretty patriotic pups and love the crowds and the chance to meet some other canine pals. Be careful if your community has fireworks and you have pets. The noise can really frighten them.
Despite the challenges we've all faced these past two years, the 4th of July holiday is a great time to remind ourselves that we live in a wonderful country that provides us with enormous opportunities. All of us have had the good fortune to chart our own courses - personally and professionally. In addition to the monetary rewards, there is great satisfaction in building and growing your own business. Not everyone around the world is so fortunate.
Maybe some of you are doing something special for clients over the long weekend - a special promotion or a body treatment you've specially created to convey the spirit of the holiday. Maybe you are also getting behind some local charitable event through your personal participation or helping with the promotion by sponsorship. There are many ways to show your support for the community while celebrating this important national holiday. Your involvement in turn raises your local visibility and shows your customers and other business partners that you care. A real win-win.
Whatever you decide to do, of course stay safe, have fun and remember that while we formally celebrate our independence at this special time, we also have the freedom to live it every day. Let us know if you put on any special events as part of the celebration.
