Do Your Clients Know You Appreciate Them?

When is the last time you told your clients how much you appreciate their business? Someone told me it's National Write a Letter of Appreciation Week. I was not aware such a week existed, but it's a good reminder that we all need to let our customers know -- and hopefully more than once a year and in a letter -- how much we value their business.

Here is my letter to you in light of National Write a Letter of Appreciation Week, and it's simple - thank you. Thank you on behalf of everyone in BIOTONE for your partnership over the years. It goes without saying as we approach our 30th anniversary, we could not have done it without you.

So how do you plan to let your clients know how much you appreciate their business if you haven't told them later in person or on a note? Here are a few things you may want to consider to enhance the message:

  • Offer a free add-on to a regular priced treatment as a thank-you.
  • Offer sample sizes of lotions after treatment or massage as a way of saying thanks (and drumming up business for retail purchase in the future).
  • A frequent customer card is a nice way to treat a customer to a free or discounted service after many visits.
  • Send a birthday card on your client's birthday and include a special gift coupon.

You can see it doesn't take much to make a person feel appreciated, and when you do, you create a bond that will keep your clients coming back. I love to hear what things you've done this year to show your clients how much you appreciate their business. Please take a minute and comment.
